Hooked

A new painting I did of a large mouth bass caught with a lure. My paintings seem to be taking me a bit longer here lately. Don't know why. I think it's because I'm a little more particular now with composition and other elements of the paintings.

This painting is based on some grassy reeds on the lake I live on that stick up out of the water by the spillway. The ornery side of me wanted to name this painting "Kiss my Bass" but the disapproving look on my wife's face steered me in a new direction.
