HARPAZO

This is one of my new oil paintings called HARPAZO. Harpazo is the Greek word in the original scriptures that is translated to "caught up" in English. We will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. In other words we will be raptured if you are a believer. This one took a while because I started out very tight and stiff will all of the lines on the street and buildings leading back into the center. I eventually loosened up and added more color with an impressionistic flare and the painting came alive. Of course I prayed to the Lord to help me out with this one because it wasn't going in the direction I wanted. He certainly helped me out!
